Brenda F. Parks, 65, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Christian Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born September 1, 1958, in Granite City, a daughter of the late Harry Paul and Bonnie Jean (Dortch) Jones. Brenda had worked in Florida as an office manager with a pulmonary doctor’s office for several years. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and found her great joy in caring for her nieces and nephews and children of many friends throughout the years.
She had a love for music, enjoyed reading and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Leigh (Davis) Verity of Granite City; her grandson, Ernest Pagnozzi IV of Granite City; four siblings and spouses, Debra K. and Keith Kibort of Granite City, Timmy and Maria Jones of Edwardsville, Lisa R. Jones of Granite City and Tina Jones and Nadeia Shemwell of Granite City; four nieces and nephews, Kahli, Taylor Elaine, Taylor May and Toby; many cousins; other extended family and friends. In addition to her beloved parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lee Jones and nephew, Zachary Alyn Kibort.
In honor of her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held.
Memorials may be made to the Zachary Alyn Kibort Memorial Band Scholarship and may be accepted at any Revity Credit Union or at the funeral chapel.
