Mary Lou Maue, 87, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 6:04 a.m. Sun. June 14, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family while under hospice care.
She was born Apr. 25, 1933 in Mascoutah, IL to the late Laclede & Emilia (Dierberger) Poole.
On Feb. 14, 1956, she and James Joseph Maue were married in Mascoutah, IL. He preceded her in death Apr.23, 1983.
Mary Lou had been a homemaker, caring for her family. She was a member of Calvary Life Church and a quilter with The Jolly Quilters.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Carolyn Maue of Grants Pass, OR and Diane (Jerry) Eagen of St. Charles, MO; 5 sons: Brian (Dorothy) Maue of Belleville, IL, John Maue of Maryville, IL, Danny Maue of Ft. Myers, FL, Matt (Traci) Maue of Highland, IL and Mark (Lana) Maue of Edwardsville, IL; a daughter-in-law: Susan Maue of Grants Pass, OR; 23 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Bill Poole of Grants Pass, OR.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son: James Arthur Maue; 4 siblings: Francis Poole, Allan Poole, Donald Poole and Pat Maue.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date with burial at Sunset Hills Memorial Estates.
