Donnie Kenton Dummitt, 63, of Granite City, IL, passed away Thurs. Dec. 26, 2019 at his home.
He was born Ap. 13, 1956 in Beaumont, TX to the late Shirley Mae (Lister) Harper and Edward Kenneth Dummitt.
Donnie was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was an avid sports fan and was very proud to have served as Director for 10 years at the St. Joseph Boy’s Home in St. Louis, MO.
Survivors include his children: Jamie Lynn (Shawn) House of Granite City, Jenna (Earl) Siadak of Corpus Christi, TX, Steven Anderson of St. Louis and Maggie Dummitt of St. Louis; 2 brothers: Edward Dummitt of Rio Rancho, NM and Paul (Leatha) Snider of Collinsville, IL; a sister: Kelly (Sam) Dummitt Snow of TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and godson: Shane Biggs.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Sidney Snider.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Fri. Jan. 3, 2020 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory where services will be at 10:00 a.m. Sat. Jan. 4, 2020. Burial with military honors will follow at Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
Memorials may be made to the Patriot Guard.
