JoAnn W. Harrison, 93, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Cedarhurst Memory Care in Granite City.
She was born March 29, 1931, in Licking, Missouri, a daughter of the late William Leonard and Avis (Davis) Waeltz.
She married Carl W. Harrison Sr. on September 20, 1952, and he preceded her in death on February 19, 2000.
JoAnn was a faithful member of the Clark Avenue Church of Christ in Granite City. She enjoyed being a member of T.O.P.S. for over 30 years and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bill and Gloria Harrison of Granite City and Carl Harrison Jr. of Granite City; daughter-in-law, Tori Harrison of Hamel; four grandchildren and spouses, Joshua Harrison, Amanda and Kenny Fester, Sam Harrison and Cindy and Nick Clark; five great grandchildren, Hudson Fester, Kenlee Fester, Zachary Clark, Owen Harrison and Noah Clark; many nieces; nephews; other close family members and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David A. Harrison; a sister, Betty L. Hamilton and a brother, Fred W. Waeltz.
In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Irwin Chapel at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024, with Mike Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
