Mostly Cloudy Skies and Mild Temperatures Expected Monday

Monday starts cloudy and a little damp-looking, with temperatures around 61 degrees early and a light north wind near 4 mph. It is one of those mornings that may make you check twice for rain, but most areas should stay dry as the day gets going.

By afternoon, clouds will still hang around, but there will be a few breaks here and there. The high will reach about 74 degrees, with a north wind around 8 mph and gusts up to 17 mph. Rain chances stay low at 25 percent, so while a brief sprinkle cannot be ruled out, most of the day looks quiet. It may feel like 78 during the warmest part of the afternoon.

Monday evening stays calm, with a spotty shower possible early before skies turn partly cloudy. Temperatures will ease back through the 60s, and the wind will lighten as the sun goes down. Overnight, the low will settle near 60 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Rain chances edge up to 49 percent this evening, but any shower should be light and short-lived.

Grass pollen is at a moderate level today, while mold, ragweed and tree pollen are low. Air quality is moderate, and the UV index will be very high during the middle of the day, so sunscreen is a smart move if you will be outside for long.

Tuesday brings a warmer change, with a high near 83 and a low around 64. Expect a pleasant mix of sun and clouds with little to no chance of rain.
