ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Four people were charged Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, after authorities alleged they beat and robbed a driver who stopped to check on the occupants of a vehicle he rear-ended in Jennings five days earlier.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Tamara Logan, 48; Martinez Logan, 25; Mary Moore, 26; and Davion Alfred, 30, all of St. Louis, with second-degree robbery, third-degree assault involving a special victim and second-degree burglary involving unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. Each is being held on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
According to probable cause statements, Alfred, Martinez Logan and Moore were in a 2013 Ford Escape traveling north on Jennings Station Road and waiting to turn left onto Shannon Avenue on Sept. 19 when the victim’s 2025 Chrysler Caravan struck their vehicle from behind.
The victim pulled over and got out to check on the occupants. Logan arrived shortly after the crash, the statements said.
Alfred approached the victim and punched him in the head, knocking him to the ground, according to the statements. Authorities allege the four defendants repeatedly punched, kicked, stomped and dragged the victim, who blacked out.
Alfred took the victim’s keys and wallet, and the defendants entered his vehicle and removed trash bags containing items intended for donation to Goodwill, the statements said. The keys and wallet were later found on the victim’s vehicle with his cell phone. The victim was missing $100 from his wallet.
Officers responded to the crash about 4:45 p.m. The victim was unable to speak and was taken to a hospital, according to authorities. The probable cause statements identify him as 62, while an earlier police release listed his age as 63.
The statements said neither the defendants nor bystanders told responding officers about the assault. The victim’s family reported it while he was at the hospital. Police said officers received an assault report shortly after 10 p.m. and went to the hospital to speak with him.
Investigators identified Alfred and Moore through the crash report. A bystander’s recording showed part of the assault, according to the statements. Detectives used the video, tips and social media posts to identify Tamara and Martinez Logan.
All four were arrested Sept. 23. According to the statements, Alfred admitted punching the victim first, taking his keys, searching his wallet and entering his vehicle. Moore admitted kicking the victim repeatedly, Martinez Logan admitted kicking him in the face and dragging him to the curb, and Tamara Logan admitted stomping his legs.
Detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department’s City of Jennings Precinct are leading the investigation.
The charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
