PONTOON BEACH – Long Lake and Mitchell Fire Department responded to the 3800 block of Lake Street Sunday night for a fully engulfed structure fire.
When firefighters arrived on scene the house was fully engulfed with fire. Firefighter worked tirelessly to get the fire under control. The structure sustained significant damage. It is unknown at this time what caused the fire.
Firefighters were seen cutting a vent hole on top of the roof so they could vent the fire and get it under control faster. Smoke could be seen pouring from the hole. Firefighters encountered a powerline down in front of the house, so they had to work around that till Ameren arrived on scene to make the powerline safe.
Unknown if there were any injuries reported.
