Frank Vicari of Mascoutah

Frank A. Vicari, 84, passed away at 1:23 pm Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Terrace on the Park in Mascoutah, Illinois.He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on January 21, 1933, the son of the late Anthony and Grace (Ball) Vicari.He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean conflict.Frank was a teacher in Los Angeles, California, prior to retiring in 1989. He was an amateur painter and enjoyed golf. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton and a graduate of Marquette Catholic High School in Alton Class of 1950.Survivors include two children, Julia Vaughan and her husband Kenward of Bakersfield, California, Gina Vicari of Desert Hot Springs, California; three grandchildren, Jackie, David and his wife Shelby, and Elizabeth; one great grandchild, Emmett, and one brother, Jack Vicari.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Rosalie Rhoades. A private graveside service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alton, with Fr.
