Madison County Sheriff Department Investigate Overdose On Friday

EDWARDSVILLE – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Madison County Coroner’s Office are investigating an apparent fatal overdose that happened Friday in the 5000 block of Chain of Rocks Road.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office released that he was a 20-year-old male. They said friends could not make contact with the male and after several attempts they came to the house and located the male deceased and called 911.

The 911 call came in around 1 p.m. Friday.  Madison County Sheriff Department, Glen Carbon Police was involved at the scene and there was noticeable crime scene tape and authorities were talking to neighbors and area businesses to obtain information.
