Firefighters Get Fire Under Control Quickly Tuesday Afternoon

MEADOWBROOK – Meadowbrook Fire Department responded to the 5000 block of State Route 140 just before 3:00 p.m. for a structure fire.

When firefighters arrived on scene a motorcycle, van and a garage were on fire. Firefighters from Meadowbrook, Bethalto and Cottage Hills were able to get the fire under control quickly without much damage to the garage. Rosewood Heights Fire Department also were called but they were disregarded before arriving on scene due to the fire being under control.

Madison County Sheriff’s Department helped with traffic control during the fire.

It is unknown at this time what caused the fire. No injuries were reported.
