East Alton Along With Other Fire Agencies Responded To Fire

EAST ALTON – East Alton Fire Department responded to the 100 block of Charlene St just after noon for a structure fire on Tuesday.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they had heavy smoke and fire coming from the structure. It appears to be an outbuilding that was on fire.

Firefighters quickly was able to get the fire under control. East Alton requested a box-alarm for manpower. Wood River, Roxana, and Alton responded to the scene. Madison County Emergency Management had their rehab unit on scene.

No injuiers were reported. It is unknown at this time what caused the fire.
