Machine Shed Total Loss After Morning Fire

ROXANA – The Roxana Fire Department responded to the 4200 block of Hedge Rd at around 7:30 Wednesday morning for a large machine shed on fire.

When firefighters arrived on scene the large shed had fire throughout the structure. A mutual aid call was put out for more help. South Roxana, Wood River, Rosewood Heights, and Mitchel responded to the scene to help Roxana.

The smoke could be seen from Highway 255. Firefighters worked to get the fire under control. The machine shed was a total loss and no injuries were reported.

It is unknown at this time what caused the fire.
