Sarah Jane “Pete” Braun, 98, of O’Fallon, IL, born on March 14, 1927, in Belleville, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Liberty Village of Maryville.
Pete was a lifelong resident of Shiloh, IL, where she as a member of the Shiloh Methodist Church as well as the Shiloh Senior Citizens. She was a jokester, enjoyed playing cards, and loved her family.
Pete was preceded in death by her parents, John and Micha Braun (nee Stephenson); three sisters, two along with their spouses, Aletha M. (Clifford) Nelson, Norma Jean (Glen) Rowe, Margaret A. Braun; two nieces, Diane Trimble (survived by husband David), Beth Ann Higgins (survived by husband Keevin); one great-niece, Kristina Dallas; and two great-nephews, Blake Rowe, and Darin Rowe.
Pete is survived by one niece, Debbie (Mark) Lawrence; two nephews, Dave (Mary) Rowe, Doug (Michelle) Rowe; four great-nieces, Stephanie (Warren) Cole, Kayla (John) Welge, Michele (Doug) Whitford, Mindi (Ben) Rowe; and four great-nephews, Stephen (Michelle) Trimble, Dave Lawrence, Dane (Sandy) Rowe, and Adam (Kathryn) Rowe; as well as numerous great-great-nieces and nephews.
