Sherry Miller

Sherry G. Miller, 60, of Collinsville and formerly of Springfield, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 11:35 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at her home. She was born on June 8, 1965, in Fairfield, Illinois, the daughter of Roy Dean and Mary Carol (Booher) Guymon. She married Randall “Randy” K. Miller on January 2, 1993, in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Sherry retired in May 2023 from the Collinsville School District after 22 years of devoted service as a special education assistant. A faithful and active member of LeClaire Christian Church in Edwardsville for more than 20 years, she lived her life with compassion and purpose. After the heartbreaking loss of her daughter to cancer, she dedicated herself to supporting H.I.S. Kids, Kellsie’s Hope Foundation, and several other childhood cancer organizations. She found deep meaning in counseling, mentoring, and comforting other parents walking similar paths.

Sherry had a natural gift for design and enjoyed decorating and crafting. She also loved traveling, photography, and creating memories with the people she cared about. Most of all, she treasured her family and embraced the special joy of being “GaGa” to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Miller of Collinsville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Caylee and Joseph Renick of Edwardsville and Mayci Miller of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Theodore, Henry, and Rosemary Renick; her father and stepmother, Roy Dean and Anne Guymon of Vandalia, Missouri; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanne and Scott Spradlin of Florida and Amy and Ken Brink of Nashville, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by their angel daughter, Taylor Deen Miller, and by a brother, Roy Dean Guymon.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be held at LeClaire Christian Church, 1914 Esic Drive in Edwardsville, on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, with Pastor Andy Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.

Memorials may be made to H.I.S. Kids or Kellsie’s Hope Foundation. Irwin Chapel of Glen Carbon is in charge of arrangements. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.irwinchapel.com.
