The United Way of Greater St. Louis Campaign Raises $60 Million to Support the St. Louis Region During Challenging Times

ST. LOUIS – The United Way of Greater St. Louis (UWGSL) annual community campaign has raised $60 million to invest in helping local individuals and families in need across 16 counties in Missouri and Illinois.

UWGSL provides funding and support to a safety net of 160 local nonprofits that help people with basic needs, early childhood and youth success, jobs and financial mobility, health and well-being, and community stability and crisis response. The dollars raised from the UWGSL community campaign support these efforts by fueling the UWGSL mission to help people live their best possible lives.

“United Way’s partnership with us for nearly a century has been crucial to giving us the capacity to feed, shelter and nurture the people we serve, and our collaborative efforts make for a stronger St. Louis region,” said Michael McMillan, President and CEO of Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis.

“The success of United Way’s annual campaign speaks to how much their mission and efforts resonate with our community, and we all share tremendous gratitude to United Way for being a longstanding source of support,” said Meredith Knopp, CEO of the St. Louis Area Foodbank.

The 2025 campaign was led by campaign chair and co-chair Lal Karsanbhai, President and CEO of Emerson, and Andrew Davidson, Managing Partner for KPMG’s St. Louis Office.

“Our campaign galvanizes the community through collective giving, and having so many people uniting with us to make a difference is what makes our campaign so special,” said Michelle D. Tucker, President and CEO of United Way of Greater St. Louis. “Last year certainly tested the strength of our community in many ways, and together we met those challenges head on, neighbors lifting neighbors, giving one another hope. When we all unite for the greater good of our communities, we spark real, lasting change, and that is what we’ve done with our campaign.”

With grants and other donations to United Way added to our fall campaign, our total raised is $78.4 million.

This success was made possible by the community coming together to collectively raise funds.

Our corporate partners, campaign cabinet, staff, labor unions, volunteers, and donors, including more than 400 organizations that increased their giving this year, your commitment makes a real, lasting change in our region.

At the $5 million or more level was Edward Jones and World Wide Technology.

At the $3 million or more level was Emerson, Ameren, and Enterprise Mobility.

At the $2 million or more level was Bayer and Hunter Engineering.

At the $1 million or more level were BJC Healthcare, Nestle Purina Petcare Company, Schnucks Markets, Inc.

The St. Louis Regional Business Council, which represents over 70 area firms participating in United Way’s campaign, collectively raised more than $23 million this year.
