
Arthur Earl Curle, 72, of Belleville, IL, born August 15, 1953, in Belleville, IL, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, at his residence.
Arthur graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Missouri S&T and with a master’s degree in business from Washington University. After graduating from Missouri S&T he accepted an engineering position with Gulf States Utilities in Beaumont, TX.
He and Linda returned to Belleville when he accepted a position at Union Electric/Ameren. He retired from Ameren as a director of distribution operating and emergency management. He was a member of the Acacia Fraternity, Scottish Rite, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Arthur had his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. He also enjoyed building radio control airplanes. He was an avid baseball fan, specifically of the Los Angeles Dodgers. He and his wife raised and showed Giant Schnauzers which were always handled in the ring by Arthur.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur B. and Beatrice, nee Steiner, Curle; and his two sisters, Mary Beth (Daniel) Brown and Donna Jean Stepp.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Curle, nee Parrack, whom he married on June 6, 1975; his aunt, Doris Steiner; multiple cousins; many dear friends; and his special buddy, Piper.
