
Edith Salazar, 81, of Collinsville, IL, passed away at 3:49 a.m. Sat. Apr. 25, 2026 at Evercare at Stearns in Granite City, IL.
She was born Nov. 24, 1944 in Caracas, Venezuela and was a daughter of the late Imeris Moly.
Edith had worked for the airline industry in food catering for many years. She loved Bingo, traveling and going to the casino. She also loved shopping and going out to eat.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Donna (Raul) Avila of Collinsville, IL and Patricia (Victor Patron) Lopez, 6 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jesús, Aileen, Osvaldo, Ariana and Adam; 10 great-grandchildren, Michael, Aaron, Alena, Anni, Jesús Jr., Rosie, Diego, Rico, Joel, and Eliana, and 2 sisters, Pura and Irma.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and a grandson, Diego.
Visitation will be from Wed. Apr. 29, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at Noon at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel cemetery in Belleville, IL.
