David W. “Moe” McCrary, 71, of Belleville, IL, born August 7, 1954, in Du Quoin, IL, died Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, surrounded by his family.
Dave worked for Peabody Coal, then as a laborer with Local #459 before retiring from Ameren as a Gas Journeyman. He enjoyed fishing and golfing with his buddies in the Wednesday morning golf league. He enjoyed going to the beach or relaxing on his patio. Dave coached football and is a lifetime member of the Little Devils Football Club. His greatest pastime was coaching his three sons in baseball while they were growing up.
David was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dana, nee Sutton, McCrary; and two brothers, Daniel and Dale McCrary.
Surviving are his loving wife, Rosie, nee Rosciglione, McCrary; three sons, Jake (Amy) McCrary and their daughter, Delaney; Tyler (Gayle) McCrary and their children, Heidi, Henry, and Herbert; and Andy McCrary; a brother, Doug (Debbie) McCrary; a sister-in-law, Debra McCrary; many other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Dave’s family would like to thank Dr. Herzog and his staff at The Siteman Cancer Center, and the entire staff at Memorial Hospital, for the care and comfort that they provided for Dave during his illness.

Visitation: Friend and family may visit from 10 to 12 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL. Due to Dave’s love for the laid-back Jimmy Buffet lifestyle, the family would like everyone to wear their favorite Hawaiian attire in remembrance of him.
Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Burial will be held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
