SWANSEA – The Swansea Police Department announced that Chase Carlile graduated from Session 158 of the SWIC Police Academy this past Thursday, April 23, 2026, and will begin a 14-week field training program with the department.
“Congratulations to our newest officer, Chase Carlile, on his graduation today from Session 158 of the SWIC Police Academy,” the Swansea Police Department said in a statement. “Officer Carlile will now start a 14-week field training program within our agency.”
The Swansea Police Department has high expectations for Carlile to serve “our community and our region,” adding, “We look forward to a long, successful, and healthy career for him serving our community and our region.”
In a separate statement, Carlile described his background before college, saying, “Before attending college at Maryville University, I was in the Air Force for six years working in a unit alongside other individuals to accomplish mission requirements.”
Carlile said his “main objective was supervising and preparing lower-ranking airmen to take on the tasks of a sergeant in their career field,” and that he “led job trainings about engineering while becoming experienced in management and supervision.”
He said the skills and experience in the Air Force helped him take on leadership roles and tasks in the civilian world after his service concluded.
The department also noted a day off following the graduation, saying, “In honor of your achievement, Officer Carlile, take tomorrow off and see you at work on Sunday.”
