
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie Davinroy, who passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the age of 90 in Belleville, IL.
Born on March 24, 1936, in East St. Louis, IL, Jackie was the beloved daughter of Henry “Toots” Polka and Elizabeth “Bessie” Lynch Polka. She graduated from St. Teresa High School in 1954 and went on to build a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.
Throughout her life, Jackie was known for her kindness, generosity, unwavering faith, and dedication to volunteering. She found joy in attending Mass, gardening, making jewelry, decorating her home, dressing up for any occasion, playing cards with her walking group friends and neighbors, and spending time socializing with family and friends. Her warm smile, welcoming spirit, and genuine interest in others made everyone feel at home in her presence.
Jackie was a devoted member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, where she faithfully volunteered for many years with the church Sodality. Her commitment to serving others also extended to volunteering with Belleville Mental Health, the Junior Women’s Society, and the Shelter Shop for violence prevention, reflecting her compassionate heart and lifelong desire to help those in need.
Jackie leaves behind a legacy of faith, generosity, and unconditional love. She will be remembered for the kindness she shared so freely, the friendships she nurtured, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth Polka; her brother, Bob Polka, and his wife, Jean; and her niece, Cindy Polka.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Dale Davinroy; her two sons, Rob Davinroy Jr. and his wife, Tew, and Daniel Davinroy and his wife, Lydia Wilson; her brother, William Polka and his wife, Ann; her grandchildren, Danielle, Miranda, Samantha, Alexandra, and Elsa; her nieces and nephews, Molly and Jeff, Jean and Mike, Amy and John, Bobby and Ena, Brian, Kenny and Debbie, and Karen Polka; along with many cherished friends and extended family members.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. Jack McEvilly officiating
Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
