Collinsville Erupts For Nine-Run Third To Reach Final

EDWARDSVILLE — Collinsville used a nine-run third inning to break open the second semifinal on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Tom Pile Field, defeating Quincy 12-3 and advancing to the final.

The Kahoks added one run in the fifth and two more in the seventh to eliminate Quincy. Collinsville is now 12-19 and will face Edwardsville in the final Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10 a.m. Quincy, the Blue Devils, finished 20-13-1.

Roman Pomerantz had four hits for Collinsville, while Henry Stinaman collected three hits and two RBIs.

Will Swip struck out nine on the mound for the Kahoks.

In other games on Wednesday, host Edwardsville won 1-0 in 10 innings over Granite City at the Edwardsville regional to advance.

At Belleville East, Belleville West defeated the host Lancers 8-3.

The Maroons improved to 20-12-1 and advanced to Saturday’s final against either Alton or O’Fallon. Belleville East ended its season at 11-23-1.
