Morning Storm Chance Gives Way to Heat Advisory and Hazy Sun

Tuesday starts cloudy and warm, with a morning thunderstorm possible before skies begin to brighten. Temperatures are already in the low 80s early, and it will feel closer to 89 degrees with the humidity. A few spots could pick up brief rain, and there is a 55% chance of showers or storms through the morning. Winds will turn northwest around 10 mph, with gusts up to 28 mph.

By afternoon, hazy sun takes over and the temperature climbs to a high near 91. With the humidity, it may feel as hot as 100 at times, so this is a day to take it easy outside and drink plenty of water. A Heat Advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. for the area, with heat index values expected between 100 and 110 degrees.

The evening stays warm but turns quieter as the sun goes down, with a light north-northwest breeze and gradually clearing skies. Overnight, the air finally eases up, dropping to a low around 65 under partly cloudy skies.

Allergy levels look fairly low today. Grass, mold, ragweed and tree pollen are all in the low range.

Wednesday brings a cooler change, with a high near 79 and a low around 59. Expect a mix of clouds and sun with lower humidity and dry weather through the day.
