Steven Harold Schweiger, 57, of Caseyville, IL, born September 2, 1969, in Belleville, IL, died Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in Caseyville, IL.
Steve worked in construction for many years; he was also self-employed and was constantly finding new projects to work on. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Freeburg Sportsman Club. Steve was an amazing bbq’er and made many meals for his family and friends. He loved going on road trips to many different places with his husband, especially their annual trip to New Orleans. Above all, Steve cared dearly for his family, he loved spending time with them, and took pride in taking care of his mother. Steven was an avid dog lover and took great care of his fur babies.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Schweiger; a brother, Richard Schweiger; and a sister, Jennifer Raynor;
Surviving are his loving partner of 24 years and husband of almost 5 years, Edward Brower III; whom he married on October 23, 2021; his mother, Jeanette, nee Walthes, Schweiger; his children, Brittni Brower (Keith Sadler), Laine Schweiger, and David McNelly; a sister, Ann (Bob) Sodam; a brother, Robert J. (Brenda) Schweiger; a brother-in-law, Matthew Brower; dear nieces and nephews; and his grand pups.
