HIGHLAND – Elliot Alexander balances academics and athletics.
For his dedication, Elliot Alexander is a Platinum Transportation Student of the Month for Highland High School.
Alexander, a senior, has played varsity soccer since his freshman year. He was recently named a captain for the soccer team, which is a major accomplishment. It takes a lot of responsibility to manage a sport and school, but he does so with grace.
He was on the 2025 second team all-conference for soccer and was named a national runner-up in the National Premier League. These are impressive resume-builders and speak to Alexander’s skill on the soccer field.
He participates with the Highland Hooligans and cheers on his classmates every day. He works hard to make sure his peers know he is advocating for their success.
Outside of school, Alexander volunteers with Partners for Pets and takes their dogs on daily walks. This work is important to him, and he spends a lot of time there. He is also a manager at his part-time job.
Though Alexander stays busy, he spends whatever free time he has watching college football and basketball. He also enjoys thrifting.
He knows exactly what he wants to do after high school. Just as they do when he is playing soccer, his teachers and loved ones will be cheering him on.
“I plan to go to college and become an athletic trainer,” he shared.
