Dennis Raymond Crable, 69 of Granite City, Illinois passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
Dennis was born on July 9, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri; the son of the late Ralph E. and Virginia M. (Wilson) Crable. Dennis was a well known talented musician who loved music and could strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He had attended Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Granite City and proudly served his country in the United States Army and just loved to spend time with his family. Dennis will be remembered for his good natured personality and all the special times he shared with his family and friends.
Dennis is survived by and will be missed by his children; Dallas and Catrina Crable of Dupo, IL, Cindy and Scott McCoy of Granite City, IL, Shona and Kelly Conner of Rockport, TX and Daniel Sites; grandchildren, Bethanay Crable, Xander Crable, Brandon Pocklington, Hunter Edwards, Krystal Crable, Kirstie Crable, Robert Whitehead, Chelsea Brown, Rachell Cook, Larry Cook; great-grandchildren, Autumn Cook, Brandon Cook, Chad Hackworth, Kambree Wood, Weston Crable, Jayston Moore, Mateo Brown; special niece, Lucy and Jeff Whittaker; step-sister, Deborah Young; sister-in-law, Mary Lemmons and numerous other special nieces, nephews and close family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his brother; Ed Crable and his sisters, Kimberly Dye and Christine and her husband Keith Rutter.
In celebration of Dennis’s life, a family gathering with food and music is being planned after Dennis is laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis with full military rites. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family.
