CMSGT Bruce Allen Miller “Bam Bam,” age 89 of Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Highland, IL.
He was born on Monday, June 17, 1935, in Oil City, PA, the son of Walter “Pete” and Gertrude (nee Mae) Miller.
On Friday, October 4, 1957, he married Elizabeth “Betty” Anne Miller (nee Freeman), who survives.
He was a member of the Belleville VFW Post #1739.
Bruce was born in Oil City, PA and attended schools there. He spent 30 years in the US Air Force, retiring from the military career as a Chief Master Sergent. After the military, he went on to work at Raytheon. Bruce had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around with people. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and reading. Bruce cherished family time and especially loved going to his great grandson’s soccer games.

- Great Grandchild – Ethan Reller

- Brother & Sister-In-Law – William “Bill” (Irene) Miller

- Sister & Brother-In-Law – Anna (James “Red”) Brown
- Father & Mother-In-Law – Edward & Lena (nee Bradley) Freeman
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL and from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL with Pastor Dan Perry, officiating.
Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
