ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Munyaradzi Chiturumani has been taken into custody without incident, authorities said, after St. Louis County Police investigated a child abduction and stabbing tied to a domestic incident Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in the 1400 block of Shadycreek Court.
The St. Louis County Police Department said additional information will be disseminated as it becomes available.
According to previously released information, officers from the Central County Precinct responded at about 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026, to a call for service for a domestic disturbance in the 1400 block of Shadycreek Court in St. Louis County, Missouri.
When officers arrived, they found an adult female suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment, and police said she is in stable condition.
Preliminary investigation indicates that an adult male identified as Chiturumani stabbed his wife inside the apartment during a domestic incident, then fled the scene with their 8-year-old child, Rudo Chiturumani, police said.
A statewide Amber Alert was issued shortly thereafter.
At about 10 p.m. Wednesday, Rudo was located safely in the City of St. Louis, according to police.
