Sunny, Less Humid Weather on Tap With High Near 86

Wednesday starts mostly sunny and quiet, with temperatures in the upper 60s early and a light northeast wind. It should be a comfortable start for late July, although the sky may look a little hazy at times because of wildfire smoke.

By afternoon, sunshine stays in place and the temperature climbs to a high of 86. Humidity stays in check compared with recent days, but it may still feel like 91 during the warmest part of the day. Winds remain out of the northeast around 7 mph, with gusts up to 17 mph. Rain chances are close to zero, so the day looks dry from start to finish.

During the evening, the warm air eases back steadily under a clear sky. It will be a good setup for ballgames, walks or dinner outside without much weather trouble getting in the way.

Overnight, temperatures fall to a low of 64 with light east-northeast winds and clear conditions holding on. It should be a calm, cooler night by midsummer standards.

The allergy index appears low today. Main allergens include grass, mold, ragweed and tree pollen, all at low levels.

Thursday brings a high of 85 and a low of 67, with a mix of clouds and sun and another generally pleasant day ahead. It stays dry, with a calm overall setup and no major weather issues expected.
