
Donald “Don” M. Davis, 77, of Belleville, IL, born Saturday, April 16, 1949, in Pekin, IL, passed away Saturday August 8, 2026.
Don proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. His service was an important part of his life, and he carried the pride of being a veteran with him throughout the years.
Following his military service, Don retired as a production worker for Olin Brass Manufacturing, where he dedicated 41 years of hard work and commitment.
After retirement he worked for many years in the kitchen at CUSD 10 School district. He fully enjoyed the interaction with the kids and his friendships with his co-workers.
Don had been failing with health issues but enjoyed spending time with family especially holidays when he could. He enjoyed the occasional cousin get togethers reminiscing and sharing stories.
He was an avid outdoorsman in his younger years. He loved spending time with his son Robbie and his dad. Enjoying shotgun hunting, especially deer, doves, and turkey. Fishing was another favorite pastime, and he treasured the time spent outdoors pursuing the things he loved.
He was preceded in death by his:

- Beloved Son: Robert “Robbie” Davis

- Son: Brian (companion Angie Whitley) Davis of Bunker Hill, IL
- Beloved Sister and Brother-In-Law: Joyce (Dave) Baumgartner of Lake Wales, FL
