Several Area Fire Departments Battle Storage Unit Fire

EAST ALTON – East Alton along with several area fire departments battled a storage unit fire in the 600 block of West Saint Louis Ave in East Alton around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found several storage units on fire. Firefighters were able to get it under control pretty quickly before more damage could be done. Due to the large fire a Box-Alarm was struck. Wood River, Roxana, Alton, and Rosewood Heights responded to the scene. Bethalto responded to man East Alton station.

It is unknown at this time what caused the fire and how many units were involved.
