Alton Girls Basketball Team Wins At Home 67-35, Kiyoko Proctor Reaches 1000 Points

ALTON – The Alton girls basketball team extended their win streak to 16 with a win over Chatham Glenwood at home 67 -35. Alton’s Kiyoko Proctor also reached the 1000-point club in tonight’s game.

Alton jumped out to a 22 to 13 lead in the first quarter. Proctor a junior scored their first two points of the game to reach 1000 points. A timeout was taken to honor her for her achievement.

Alyssa Lewis And Proctor scored all their team’s points in the first quarter with a combined 22 points.

Alton extended their lead to 36-22 in the second quarter going into the locker room. In the third quarter, Alton pushed their lead to 52-30.

Alton outscored Glenwood 15 to 5 in the final quarter to close out the game. Alton is ranked 2nd in the 4A girls basketball AP poll.

Proctor led Alton With 21 points, and Lewis and Jarius Powers both had 14 points. Chatham was led by Alexis Neumann with 8 points.
