Firefighters And EMS Respond To Fatal Traffic Accident
BETHALTO — A fatal car crash just outside Meadowbrook closed Rte 159 Sunday afternoon.
Illinois State Police Troop 8 said the two-car crash happened just before 1 p.m. Sunday on Illinois Route 159, south of Illinois Route 140, in Madison County.
Multiple Fire Departments responded to the scene. Holliday Shores, Edwardsville and Medowbrook responded. along with multiple ambulances and medical helicopters.
The road will be shut down for an extended period of time.
It is unknown how many fatalities or injuries.
