ROXANA — The Roxana Shells maintained a lead throughout the game and defeated Granite City 57-51 on Friday at the Roxana Hoopsgiving tournament. With the win, Roxana secured a spot to play for fifth place in the tournament.

Roxana opened the game with a 14-9 lead in the first quarter and extended their advantage to 30-23 by halftime. The Shells continued to hold Granite City at bay, leading 42-32 entering the final quarter.
Granite City outscored Roxana 19-15 in the fourth quarter but was unable to overcome the deficit.
Aiden Stemm led Roxana with 20 points, followed by Cohen Dugan, who added 15 points.
Granite City’s top scorers were Evan Brewer with 20 points and Jaylin Hall with 11 points.
