ST. LOUIS COUNTY – The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on Sunday, April 12, 2026, filed felony charges against a 62-year-old Florissant man accused of shooting another man during an argument in the 13000 block of East Lakeridge Drive.
Prosecutors charged William Borak, 62, of the 7700 block of Woodstock Road in Florissant, Mo., with first-degree assault or attempt, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon, the office said in a statement dated April 12, 2026. Borak is being held on a $250,000 cash-only, no-10% bond. A booking photo was not available.
The probable cause statement says officers responded to a shooting early Sunday and found Borak, two victims, and several eyewitnesses at the scene. Officers interviewed witnesses and victims “who all corroborate the same story,” the statement said.
According to the statement, Borak and the two victims got into a verbal argument, and Borak “then flourished a handgun” at them. Both victims told Borak he needed to leave the property, the statement said.
One victim left and went to his trailer, where he found his motorcycle had been tipped over, the statement said. When he returned to confront Borak, the argument restarted and Borak drew the firearm again and fired two rounds, striking the victim once in the chest, according to the statement.
The statement says witnesses and both victims verified the same account and Borak was arrested while in possession of a handgun.
St. Louis County Police North County Precinct officers are handling the investigation.
“Please note that charges are merely an accusation, and Defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law,” the prosecutor’s office said.
