MONDAY, APRIL 13 PLAY IT AGAIN GIRLS SPORTS ROUNDUP

SOFTBALL
BREESE MATER DEI CATHOLIC 3, ALTON 1: Alton took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth, but Mater Dei scored all three of their run in the top of the sixth to win at Redbirds Park.
Lexi Fischer had two hits and an RBI for the Redbirds, while Kynlie Muscarealla went all the way in the circle, striking out five.
The Knights are now 8-9, while Alton goes to 4-13.
EAST ALTON-WOOD RIVER 4, CARLINVILLE 2 (8 INNINGS): EAWR scored single runs in the third and fourth innings, but Carlinville tied the game with two runs in the home half of the fifth. The Oilers came back to scored twice in the top of the eighth to win the game at Loveless Park.
Ellie Beechum had three hits and an RBI for EAWR, and also fanned 14 in a complete game inside the circle. Payton Harding had a hit and both of the RBIs for the Cavaliers, while Hallie Gibson also went all the way in the circle, fanning 18.
The Oilers are now 5-7, while Carlinville goes to 4-8.
JERSEY 8, CIVIC MEMORIAL 1: Jersey hit for three runs in the first, four more in the third, and one in the sixth to turn back CM at the Bethalto Sports Complex.
Kamryn Drainer had two hits and two RBIs for the Panthers, while Holly Brainerd hit a grand slam homer for her only hit and four RBIs. Jena Pegram struck out four while in the circle. Paige Winship had a hit and RBI for the Eagles, while Olivia Monroe fanned five in the circle.
Jersey is now 10-2, while CM goes to 6-8.
GILLESPIE 16, COLLINSVILLE 2: Gillespie scored three runs in the first and second innings, then hit Collinsville with nine runs in the fourth en route to the win at the Collinsville Sports Complex.
Audrey Lauemstein, Ava Muniz, Payton Smith, and Preslie Thomas had the hits for the Kahoks, while Aubrey Bordoni struck out three in the circle.

BELLEVILLE WEST 17, GRANITE CITY 1: West scored 12 runs in the first inning and five more in the second to take the win over visiting Granite City.
Emily Sahrhage had the only hit for the Warriors, while Memphis Wyatt-Brown struck out two inside the circle.

Ava Cherry had a big game for the Shells with three hits and six RBIs, while Kassidy Schuyler struck out five in going all the way in the circle. Vivian Zurheide had two hits, including a home run, and four RBIs for the Piasa Birds, while Hannah Mary went all the way in the circle, fanning six.
Roxana is now 11-2, while Southwestern goes to 7-6.
WATERLOO 3, TRIAD 0: Waterloo scored once in the first and twice in the sixth to win at home over Triad in a Mississippi Valley Conference game.
Addison Haggerty came up with three hits for the Knights, while Abby Harper threw a complete game in the circle, striking out three.

TRENTON WESCLIN 18, FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 2: A 17-run first inning told the story as Wesclin won over McGivney in Trenton City Park.

FREEBURG 9, CIVIC MEMORIAL 1: After spotting CM a first-inning 1-0 lead in the first, Freeburg scored to tie the game in the third, then scored six runs in the fourth and two more in the seventh to take the win at the Bethalto Sports Complex.
Grace Burton had a hit and the only RBI for the Eagles, while Paige Winship and Olivia Monroe had the other hits. Monroe went all the way around the circle, striking out five.
The Midgets are now 11-5, while CM is now 6-7.
