Tobin Nets Three Goals: McGivney soccer girls thump Waterloo Gibault, Roxana Girls Lose To Freeburg

TUESDAY, MAY 5 PLAY IT AGAIN SPORTS ROUNDUP

Nearly the entire high school athletic schedule was postponed because of the rain that passed through the St. Louis area on Tuesday. Here’s a list of games that were postponed because of the rain:

GIRLS SOCCER

FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 6, WATERLOO GIBAULT CATHOLIC 0: Layla Tobin had a hat trick, Natalie Beck came up with a brace (two goals), and Sofia Rossetto also scored as McGivney won over Gibault at Bouse Road.

Peyton Ellis made four saves in goal, while Addison Ronk had one save as the two goalies shared the clean sheet for the Griffins, who go to 16-1-2, while the Hawks are now 8-7-1.

FREEBURG 3, ROXANA 2: Gianna Stassi and Karsyn Kamp scored for Roxana, but it wasn’t enough, as Freeburg took the three points at home.

Sidney Ufert made three saves in goal for the Shells, who are now 6-10-0, while the Midgets improve to 8-7-1.

In a game played on Monday, Parkway West of Ballwin, Mo., in west St. Louis County, shut out Columbia 3-0.
