Kaye Suryk, nee Domescik, 65, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, November 11, 1960, in Belleville, IL, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.
Kaye graduated from Belleville West in 1978 and attended Judson College in Elgin, IL. She earned her Associate’s Degree from SWIC. She worked as the first gardner at Knight’s Action Park and Scott Airforce Base before working toward establishing her own independent gardening business in Belleville and the surrounding areas. She took great pride in being a mother and sibling of four. Faith, family and friends were everything to her. She enjoyed cooking, sharing meals with those she loved, developing new landscaping designs, sharing funny stories, telling jokes and quilting. Always independent, strong and loving to those around her.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to her church, St. Matthew’s, Cherry Hills Church in Springfield, or to the Suryk/Wilbern family for a Little Library and Garden project @ the lake.
Visitation: Visitation from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 5th, 2026 at St. Matthew Church in Belleville, IL.
Services: Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 5th, 2026 at St. Matthew Church, with Rev. Bob Swickard and Pastor Jeff Nelson officiating. Luncheon will be served from 12:30-2:00 p.m. afterwards. Private Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
