One Hospitalized, One Dies, After Overnight Shooting

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – St. Louis County Police are investigating a double shooting early Saturday, June 6, 2026, in the 9700 block of Lanier Drive in Moline Acres that left one adult man dead and another injured, authorities said.

Officers from the Moline Acres Police Department responded at about 12:37 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, to a ShotSpotter activation in the 9700 block of Lanier Drive, according to a statement from St. Louis County Police. When officers arrived, they found two adult men with gunshot injuries.

One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The second was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The Moline Acres Police Department asked detectives with the St. Louis County Police Bureau of Crimes Against Persons to assume responsibility for the case.

Police said the investigation remains active and that preliminary details could change as it progresses. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
