ST. LOUIS — A 7-month-old baby died after being shot Friday afternoon, June 26, 2026, inside a home in the 8400 block of North Broadway, and investigators say a 10-year-old boy was responsible for the shooting.
District 6 officers responded just after 4 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2026, to a shooting call at the home, where they found Kiyomi Parker suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the information provided. Officers took the baby in a patrol SUV to an area hospital, but she died despite life-saving care from officers and medical personnel.
During a preliminary investigation, detectives determined that a 10-year-old boy was responsible for shooting the baby and took him into custody. Detectives are working with Juvenile Courts to determine next steps.
Homicide detectives and child abuse detectives responded to the scene and conducted a joint investigation.
A 19-year-old man also was arrested after questioning and will be facing gun charges.
