Rosann K. Amann, (nee Fischer), 87, of Marissa, IL, born December 29, 1937, in Belleville, IL, died February 11, 2025, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL. She was married to Leonard “Butch” Amann for 68 years.
Rosann was a member of St. Agatha Catholic Church in New Athens, IL.
Rosann was a retired administrative assistant and tax preparer for H & R Block. After retirement, she and her husband, Butch, enjoyed traveling to Nashville, TN with friends and spending time with family. Rosann was a devoted mother and grandmother and an excellent cook. Family looked forward to her home cooked meals. Rosann loved decorating for Christmas, baking cookies, playing bingo, watching cardinal birds and their Polled Hereford cattle in the pasture, reading the local newspaper, and being on the computer and Facebook.
The family would like to extend a special thank you for the care and compassion provided by the staff at Sparta Hospital, Medstar Ambulance Service and neighbor, Tyler Sinn.
Surviving are her loving husband Leonard “Butch” Amann; four daughters, Susan (Craig) Brown, Barbara (Michael) Dean, Sharon (David) Green, and Kay (Tommy) Neal; nine grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer) Brown, Sara (Jacob) Wright, Matthew (Megan) Brown, Taylor Amann, Lauren (Logan) Zirkelbach, Seth Dean, Ashley Green, Hannah Green, and Troy Neal; eight great-grandchildren, Maggie Brown, Macie Brown, Ella Wright, Luke Wright, Nora Wright, Emmy Brown, Miles Brown, and Lakelynn Zirkelbach; a sister Mary (Jon) Stagner and many dear nieces and nephews.
Rosann was preceded in death by her son, Anthony “Tony” Amann; her parents, Walter and Margaret, (nee Zulauf), Fischer; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leonard Sr. and Florence, (nee Kurtz), Amann.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2025, at St. Agatha’s Catholic Church, New Athens, IL, with Fr. James Nall officiating.
Burial will be at St. Agatha Cemetery, New Athens, IL.
