Beverly “Bev” Ann Wester, nee Newton, 77, of Swansea, IL, born January 1, 1949, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away, Thursday, July 2, 2026, at LaBella of Freeburg, surrounded by her loving family.
Bev worked as an office manager for Clean Systems and later as a realtor for Nester Realty until she retired. In her younger years, she enjoyed boating, fishing, and skiing. Bev also enjoyed playing cards and was a member of her card club for over 50 years. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Anthony P. Wester “Big Tony”; her father, William G. Newton; her mother, Audrey G. (John B.) Kehrer, nee Soucy; her brother, Donald Kehrer; and her sister, Barbara (Paul) Wickman.
Bev is survived by her loving children, Tina (Greg) Nester of Belleville, IL, Tony (Amie) Wester of Waterloo, IL, and Tracy (David) Funk of Mascoutah, IL; her treasured grandchildren, Mary and Jack Nester, Nash Wester, and Charlie and FitzDavid Funk; a sister-in-law, Debbie (Dan) Quartz; a brother-in-law, Rick (Brenda) Wester; and many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2026, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.
Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, at a later date.
