ST. LOUIS – A 17-year-old St. Louis boy was killed, and two 16-year-old boys were wounded in a shooting just after midnight on Sunday, July 5, 2026, near North 21st Street and East Linton Avenue in the College Hill neighborhood, according to police.
St. Louis Metropolitan Police District 6 officers were called to the intersection shortly after midnight for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male who had been shot and was unconscious and not breathing, police said. EMS attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was later identified by a family member as Tashawn Hudson of St. Louis.
Police said homicide detectives were requested and took over the investigation.
While detectives were investigating at the scene, two 16-year-old males arrived at an area hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, police said. Both were listed in stable condition.
The two 16-year-olds told police they were shot near 21st and Linton.
