O’FALLON – Jack Hettenhausen balances sports and school.
For his dedication, Jack Hettenhausen is a College Prep Station Student of the Month for O’Fallon Township High School.
Hettenhausen, a senior, has played volleyball and football since his freshman year. He gives his all at every practice and game. It takes a lot of hard work to manage athletics and academics, but Hettenhausen does this gracefully.
He never lets his grades slip, as a member of the National Honor Society, which requires high grades and many hours of community service. He received Academic All Conference recognition for football. He is also part of the school’s Broadcasting Club and enjoys several extracurriculars.
Hettenhausen is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America organization and the Leadership Council. It’s important to him to represent and advocate for his peers, and he has learned a lot about collaboration and leadership in these groups.
Outside of school, Hettenhausen works part-time at a local bank and volunteers with his church. He enjoys running, going to the gym, playing guitar, and spending time with his brothers.
He knows exactly what he plans to do after graduation. Just as they do during his games now, his loved ones and teachers will be cheering him on.
“[I plan to] go to the University of Missouri and study finance and economics,” he shared.
Congratulations to Jack for this recognition from College Prep Station and O’Fallon Township High School!
