Dimitroff, Thompson Have Braces, Burroughs Keeps Clean Sheet, Edwardsville Take 4-0 Win Over Collinsville

EDWARDSVILLE – Thea Dimitroff and Gabby Thompson both had a brace (two goals each), while Genny Burroughs didn’t need to make a save in recording a clean sheet as Edwardsville won over Collinsville 4-0 in a Southwestern Conference girls soccer match Tuesday evening, April 7, 2026, at Tiger Stadium.

Both Dimitroff and Thompson scored in both halves, with Olivia Wolz and Madison Kline having assists. Thompson now leads the team with seven goals on the season, while Dimitroff now has two of the team’s 11 goals this season.

Burroughs had her first start of the season, and also her first clean sheet of the season, while Emma Birkenmeier has started the other four games, having eight saves and a goals-against average of 0.67.

The Tigers are now 3-1-1, and host O’Fallon Thursday at 6:45 p.m., then play on the road next week, going to Alton next Tuesday, and at Belleville East on April 21, both games starting at 6:45 p.m.

The Kahoks are now 4-2-0, and host Belleville East on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., then play in a tournament at Carbondale this weekend, meeting Sikeston, Mo., Friday at 5:30 p.m., then go against St. Louis Notre Dame Catholic on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m.
