Betty Jean Bone, 92, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 12:08 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024.
She was born July 7, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Edward Kampmann and Ardella Esther Kellams.
She married Harold Bone on February 26, 1950, at the Tri City Park Tabernacle and he passed away on September 19, 1999.
Betty cherished her family and treasured special times with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her days of quilting, embroidery and sewing and was always fascinated by the beauty of watching birds and animals. She was a lifetime member of Tri City Assembly of God Church in Granite City.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, Betty and Danny Paul of Sorento, Oriel Bone of Belleville, Kenny and Rose Bone of Sorento and Deborah Lopez of Granite City; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Sarah and Jerry Lansing, Barbara and Mark Bellovich, Joshua and Cindy Spring, Stephanie and James Coe, Stephen and Ackerley Paul, Leslie and Josh Sieb and Jennifer Royer; twelve great grandchildren, Daniel, Kaylee, Rhydian, Hannah, Nathaniel, Albert, Zackery, Ethen, Gage, Wayne, Allison and Destiny; a great-great granddaughter, Aria; nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Harold E. Bone and a son-in-law, Michael Lopez.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 p.m. with Pastor Mark Maynard officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
