FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 8, STAUNTON 2: McGivney scored three runs in both the first and third, along with two in the second, in taking the win over Staunton at Griffins Field.
Patrick Gierer had two hits and two RBIs for the Griffins, while Grant Reed struck out 10 on the mound.
McGivney is now 24-7, while the Bulldogs go to 17-14-1.
PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 15, GREENFIELD NORTHWESTERN 5: Southwestern scored five runs in the first and third, once in the second and fourth, and three more in the sixth to win over visiting Greenfield.
Gage Campbell had three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs for the Piasa Birds, while John Kunz had three hits, including a homer, and two RBIs. Carter Watson struck out 10 while on the mound.
Southwestern is now 10-22, and the Tigers are now 10-20.
FREEBURG 10, JERSEY 1: Freeburg scored five runs in the first, three in the fifth, and two in the sixth to take the win over visiting Jersey.
Graham Vanausdoll, Abe Kribs, Maddox Vanausdoll, and Issac Hackethal had the hits for the Panthers, while John Kodros struck out three on the mound.
The Midgets are now 24-8, while Jersey goes to 19-12.
BREESE MATER DEI CATHOLIC 4, CIVIC MEMORIAL 3: Mater Dei took a 1-0 lead in the home half of the third, with CM taking the lead in the top of the sixth with their three runs. The Knights scored three times in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with the win.
Jacob Flowers had a hit and two RBIs for the Eagles, also fanning two while on the mound.
Mater Dei is now 15-17, while CM slips to 16-16.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
In a pair of matches played on Tuesday, Edwardsville edged Belleville West 25-23, 22-25, 27-25, and Belleville East swept Collinsville 25-19, 25-23.
