Rain chances rise to 80 percent, and some storms could turn heavy with flooding downpours and localized damaging wind gusts. Winds shift southwest near 9 mph, with gusts up to around 14 mph. It may feel as hot as 103 during the peak of the day.
Wednesday evening stays warm and humid with clouds increasing and a few thunderstorms still possible in parts of the area. The chance of rain drops to 55 percent, but any storm that lingers could still bring heavy rain for a time.
