Alton And East Alton Fire Departments Battle Third Structure Of The Night

ALTON – Alton and East Alton Fire Department were kept busy early Friday morning with their third structure fire of the night. This time it was in the 2100 block of Seminary Ave. This fire and the first fire which was on Amelia St was just a few blocks away from each other.

When firefighters arrived on scene, a garage and house had fire throughout both structures. Multiple hose lines were deployed along with an ariel truck to get the fire under control. Due to the large fire, it took some time to get it under control.

Firefighters had to pull one male from a camper that was in the backyard. As firefighters rescued the male from the camper, the camper caught fire. The male was uninjured.

It is unknown at this time if anyone was living in the house. No injuries were reported. It is unknown was caused this fire to start.
