Motorcyclist Dies After Crash Friday Morning Crash

ALTON – Alton Fire Department and Alton Police Department responded to the 3000 block of Alby Street just after midnight Friday for a motorcycle that had struck a utility pole.

When first responders arrived on scene, they said the motorcyclist was unresponsive and not breathing. The fire department determined the motorcyclist was deceased and requested the Madison County Coroner’s Office.

A cause of the crash has not been released or the name of the motorcyclist.

Alton Police Department is investigating the accident.
